On Saturday, 27 November 2021, millions of Bahá’ís in communities all across the world will commemorate the hundredth anniversary of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá’s passing.
To mark this historic occasion, the Utterance Project has committed, for the next eleven months, to publish one selection in honor of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá every other Saturday until the centenary on 27 November 2021.
These 20+ selections will include powerful excerpts from those Writings of Bahá’u’lláh Himself which speak to the peerless station of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá as well as carefully chosen pearls from the ocean of wisdom gifted to us by ‘Abdu’l-Bahá in His many extraordinary Writings.
Each selection will shed light on a different facet of the Mystery of God, known also to Baháʼís as the Center of the Covenant; the Perfect Exemplar; the Most Mighty Branch; the Master; the Servant of Bahá and the Pivot of Bahá’u’lláh’s Covenant.
We will also be timing the release of certain videos with key dates and moments in the life of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá to mark memorable events from His blessed Life.
The last selection on Saturday, November 27, 2021 will be the Tablet of Visitation for ‘Abdu’l-Bahá.
It is our ardent hope that this endeavor will help us all, together, spiritually prepare for the Centenary of the Ascension of the Master in just ten short months—that the chosen excerpts will showcase a fraction of the unfathomable Person of ʻAbdu’l-Bahá, and bring Him closer to our hearts and souls through hearing His Tablets and prayers in the fullness of their original beauty.

…a year for profound reflection on the life of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and the strength of the Covenant of which He was the Centre, as the community prepares to commemorate the centenary of His Ascension. The observance of this anniversary will undoubtedly prompt individuals and communities alike to contemplate the significance of that infinitely poignant moment when He Who was the Mystery of God departed from this world. His passing took from the Bahá’ís of that era a Figure Who was the object of their ardent love and loyalty; to the faithful of this age, He remains without parallel: a perfect embodiment in word and deed of all that His Father taught, the One through Whom the Covenant of Bahá’u’lláh was “proclaimed, championed and vindicated”. We are conscious that the coming year will also mark a century since His Will and Testament—that “momentous”, “historic”, “immortal” Document—“called into being, outlined the features and set in motion the processes” of the Administrative Order, “the very pattern of that divine civilization which the almighty Law of Bahá’u’lláh is designed to establish upon earth”. This “unique” and “divinely-conceived” Order, this “mighty administrative structure”, had been fashioned by its Architect to perpetuate the Covenant and channel the spiritual powers of the Cause.
